Frequent Asked Questions – FAQs
What is naturally-coloured cotton?
Naturally-coloured cotton is the result of naturally pigmented fibers that grow in shades of ivory, green and brown. There are no pollution-causing fertilizers, harmful pesticides or chemicals used in planting, growing, spinning and the finishing of fabric.
What are the benefits of naturally-coloured cotton?
Since there are no fertilizers, pesticides or chemicals used, it is totally natural, ecological, and does not pollute the environment. It contains no dyes, no bleach, no chemical pesticide residues, no heavy metals, no AZO, no formaldehyde and no chlorinated phenols. Naturally-coloured cotton is soft, natural, static-free and does not irritate the skin. Colour-grown cotton is not dyed, so it doesn’t fade; the color will actually deepen when you wash it.
Why are there tiny brown flecks in your cotton fabric?
Those little black flecks are actually in all cotton products and a natural part of the fabric. When fabric is whitened and/or dyed triactol warning, the small flecks take on the same color of the fabric. Because our natural cotton fabrics are not whitened or dyed, the small flecks are more apparent.
What materials is your packaging made of? Is it eco-friendly?
Yes, the packaging used with our products is also carefully chosen. It is not made of plastic; it is made of cellophane and cotton mesh, materials which are 100% biodegradable, and is also made in Brazil. On top of that, it is also great gift-wrapping.
How do I return or exchange something?
You may return any Vanilla Baby product as long as it is in its original packaging and has not been laundered. Please see our terms and conditions section regarding returns.
What is AZO?
AZO compounds are among the most popular synthetic dyes, especially in the clothing and fashion industry. In recent years, regulatory agencies have become concerned over the possible carcinogenicity of some AZO compounds.
